Mavic's Writing Journey
Becoming a writer
Why I love writing? I was nine when I started writing poems and short articles. I have always loved putting words on paper and loved reading what others have written. In my early years, I was already accustomed to reading all sorts of reading materials. I will write whenever I felt like writing a thought or an idea or felt inspired to compose a poem. My books will have writings on it all over the pages. Notes, quotes, poems along its pages. My Bible is full of writings, highlights and quotes and poems which I wrote when I felt inspired by what I read.
Over time, I have collected so many inspiring thoughts and messages which I would write at any point in time whenever inspiration comes to me. I have one fourth sheet of papers everywhere! Post it notes will be scattered in my books, walls, tables and even doors! I write because I love writing what I think and feel. I write because I believe in the power of the written words.
I used to win writing contests when I was in high school. I was literary editor in our school paper. I got an A in literature and my essays will always be picked up by my professor in college to show the whole class!
But all these were not the reasons why I became an author. I am a writer because I have so much words inside me which I know must go out to the world. I want to bring inspiration and strength through my writings. I want to inspire and challenge my readers. I want to influence people to choose a life of wisdom and courage. I want to inspire people to love God and to know Him deeper in every day life. Through my writings, I can open up my heart to the world and share my passions which I believe can help inspire and encourage the readers.
I became a writer because I want to share my walk with God, my own journey of faith and how I find the faithfulness of God throughout this journey. I hope to inspire love for God and faithfulness to Him as a life’s priority. To inspire confidence in living life to the full and with purpose. To help others choose a life with meaning and how one can impact another by their life’s choices.
